American MedTrust is a hospital management that focuses on under-performing hospitals. Prior to the acquisition, American MedTrust owned one hospital and managed another hospital. The company has targeted acute care hospitals in clearly defined markets and is currently pursuing an aggressive growth strategy.

Success Factors

KPMG Corporate Finance was able to provide key strategic advice due to their extensive industry expertise. We negotiated seller financing that was key to closing the transaction and was able to assist the company in negotiating complex inter-creditor issues that allowed for the closing of the transaction.

The acquisition provides American MedTrust with scale critical to achieve its long term growth objectives. The acquired hospital is expected to be a core facility for the company and the beginning of the company’s growth phase.
