Saqib Akhter

Saqib Akhter joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2007.  Mr. Akhter supports client and marketing activities in conducting extensive industry and company research, analyzing financial statements, and running financial models.

Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Mr. Akhter was a business analyst at British Petroleum (BP). While at BP, he held various engineering and managerial roles. In 2005, Mr. Akhter and his team managed a US$9 billion spin-off of BP’s Chicago based petrochemical assets. Prior to BP, Mr. Akhter held engineering roles at Proctor & Gamble, Nalco, and Environmental Systems Design.

Mr. Akhter earned a B.S. degree in chemical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois as well as an MBA degree at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
