Marc Hansberger

Marc Hansberger joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2006. Marc serves as a Director of Advisory Services.    
 
Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Marc was a Director at Duff & Phelps, LLC focusing on financial advisory and investment banking. Marc has conducted over 300 valuations of closely held businesses in a wide variety of industries and has advised publicly and privately traded companies as well as privately held businesses on a variety of capital markets transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and going private transactions.  Marc also has extensive experience in highly structured ESOP transactions from initial feasibility and design to capital raising and implementation.  In addition to advising on the formation of new ESOPs, Marc has been involved in the sale of ESOP companies, the acquisition of ESOP companies, and corporate spin-out transactions using ESOP structures. He routinely advises institutional trustees on valuation and transaction related issues and has rendered numerous fairness opinions in the ESOP arena. He is an active member of the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership and is a frequent speaker on valuation and transaction issues for ESOP companies.

Marc holds an M.B.A from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in Political Science from Emory University.
