Jonathan Montbach

Jonathan joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2008 as a member of the Special Situations Advisory Group (SSAG) bringing over 6 years of M&A and corporate finance experience.

Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance LLC, Jonathan advised both distressed and healthy companies on numerous transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, a variety of secured and unsecured debt issuances, and private equity investments.

Jonathan’s distressed company experience includes in-court and
out-of-court restructurings across multiple industry sectors. While employed with UBS Investment Bank, his restructuring and M&A advisory clients included Sirius Satellite Radio, Revlon, World Kitchen, and Adelphia Communications, plus significant work in the energy, utility, and industrial/automotive industries.

In addition, immediately prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Jonathan spent three years on the buy-side where he was a Senior Analyst focusing on high yield and distressed investments, with particular focus on the consumer products, homebuilding, automotive and industrial industries. Prior to this, Jonathan was an Associate Director in UBS’ restructuring group in New York.

Jonathan holds an M.B.A. in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago and a B.A. from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York
