Hernan Magarinos

Hernan is a director of KPMG Corporate Finance LLC and leads the U.S. and Latin America Loan Portfolio Sales efforts. He joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 2010 and focuses on providing nonperforming and performing loan portfolio (noncore) sell-side and buy-side advise for his clients. Hernan’s service offerings include portfolio stratification and sale strategy assistance, portfolio valuation, asset analysis and due diligence, and other sale related services, including negotiation of closing terms and conditions, investors’ contact, and data room management.

With over 10 years of financial advisory and transactional experience, Hernan has assisted clients on the sale and acquisition of dozens of loan portfolios with an aggregate value in excess of $14 billion.

Hernan has provided services to both U.S. and foreign banks, financial institutions, and corporate clients. He has extensive specialization in a wide array of asset classes, having assisted clients in their dispositions of commercial and residential mortgages, corporate loans, structured notes, unsecured loans (credit cards, receivables, etc.), auto loans, and OREO portfolios.

Prior to joining KPMG Corporate Finance, Hernan was the Americas leader of PwC’s Distressed Debt Group. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant at Cargill Inc., where he worked on several distressed acquisitions.

Hernan holds an M.B.A. from McGill University in Canada and obtained his CPA from the National University in Argentina. He also holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 licenses.
