Cyrus Lam
managing Director, New York
Cyrus Lam joined KPMG India in 1994 as an accountant and later transitioned to KPMG's Indian Corporate Finance Practice. Having completed six years with KPMG India, Cyrus transferred to KPMG’s Corporate Finance team in the U.K. for a further six years, and subsequently joined the U.S. Corporate Finance practice in December, 2006. Cyrus focuses primarily on the technology sector, with an emphasis on software, services, and outsourcing clients. He also has significant cross-border experience having worked in India, the UK and the U.S.
Cyrus has advised on many transactions, including the following sellside transactions: the sale of Telenor Business Solutions to 2e2, Anker BV to Gores Technology, Princeton Consulting to Mphasis BFL India, Integrity Treasury Solutions to SunGard, Equanet to PC World Business, Inmac Microwarehouse to WStore, Insurance Technology to Sword Group SA France, the management buy-out (MBO) of BigHand Software, , the acquisition of Clinisys by ECI UK, the sale of Geniant to EMC, the MBO of Systems Development Integration, Inc., the sale of Chelford Group to Solarsoft and the sale of Frontline Direct Inc to AMG Europe.
Cyrus holds a Masters Degree and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Mumbai, India. He is also a Chartered Accountant and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, India.
