Rick Chance, Head of KPMG Corporate Finance's Special Situations Advisory Group, quoted in Corporate Financing Week
June 1, 2007
In the June 1, 2007, edition of Corporate Financing Week, KPMG Corporate Finance had an opportunity to contribute to Matthew Craft's article, "Drive-Bys Race Into Junk Market."
Rick Chance, Head of the Special Situations Advisory Group at KPMG Corporate Finance, was interviewed with respect to his thoughts on the most recent high-yield bond deals.
Matthew Craft writes: The volume and speed of the sales, common to the less risky investment-grade market, points to the strong appetite for yield, observers said. "It's definitely a borrowers' market," said Rick Chance, managing director at KPMG Corporate Finance. "When you see things like that, you have to wonder if that's the sign of a frothy market." Chance also questioned the ability of bond buyers to fully understand the company's financials in a few hours.
