In the April, 2007 edition of  Mergers & Acquisitions, KPMG Corporate Finance had an opportunity to contribute to Joan Harrison's article, "Consumer Goods."

Nick Jachim, Managing Director and U.S. Group Head of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships at KPMG Corporate Finance, was interviewed with respect to his thoughts on the growing interest in food and beverage M&A.

Nick Jachim reports that "massive" interest among stragegic buyers for both branded and non-branded products, citing their ability to gain operational and channel synergies in such acquisitions.  Jachim also adds, PE firms, however, have shown little interest in buying non-branded goods.
